Manchester United's full coaching staff for 2024-25 season; Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy & more

Manchester United, under the new ownership of INEOS group, have made smart decisions in terms of personnel acquisition. Whether it’s the players, the management or the coaching staff, some of the decisions made by the club have been met with positivity as it strives to challenge for trophies in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Erik ten Hag is going to continue as the manager of Manchester United’s men’s team after the rumours surrounding his exit were dashed following the 2023-24 FA Cup triumph over Manchester City. In addition, United also brought in former player Ruud van Nistelrooy as Assistant Manager, which sent a wave of excitement to the global fanbase.
Moreover, figures such as Steve McClaren, Darren Fletcher and more will continue to play crucial roles in the upcoming season for the club. On this note, here is a look at Manchester United’s coaching staff for the 2024-25 season:
Erik ten Hag (Manager)
Erik ten Hag joined Manchester United in 2022 and signed an extension earlier in July 2024. His current deal with the club will run until 2026. The club hierarchy decided to extend his stay after the manager delivered the FA Cup trophy at the end of the previous season. This was his second major trophy in the first two seasons with the club.
Rene Hake (Assistant Manager)
Rene Hake arrives as the new Assistant Manager at Manchester United. He is working under Erik ten Hag for the upcoming season. The 52-year-old was the manager at Go Ahead Eagles before agreeing to come to England.
Ruud van Nistelrooy (Assistant Manager)
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s arrival as the Assistant Manager shocked a big chunk of the fanbase but filled them with joy at the same time. The former player who scored 150 goals for the club will be hoping to pass on his expertise to the current crop of United players who underdelivered in the previous season.
Andreas Georgson (Set Piece Coach)
Andreas Georgson is one of the most recent arrivals into the Manchester United coaching staff ahead of the 2024-25 season. He is the new set-piece coach at the club, hoping to make an impact. He has previously worked with clubs such as Brentford, Southampton and most notably Arsenal.

Craig Mawson (Goalkeeping Coach)
Craig Mawson is the goalkeeping coach at Manchester United. He has been at the club since 2019 and joined after working with Burnley.
Jelle ten Rouwelaar (Goalkeeping Coach)
Jelle ten Rouwelaar is the new goalkeeping coach at Manchester United. He has previously worked with clubs such as Anderlecht, Burnley and Ajax among others.
Charlie Owen (Fitness Coach)
Charlie Owen is the fitness coach and has been working with Manchester United since 2019.
Paolo Gaudino (Fitness Coach)
Paolo Gaudino is part of the fitness coaching team at Manchester United. He has been at United since 2012.
Mike Clegg (Strength & Conditioning Coach)
Mike Clegg is part of the fitness team and focuses largely on the strength and conditioning side. He previously worked with Sunderland.
Darren Fletcher (Technical Coach)
Darren Fletcher, a former player at Manchester United, overlooks the coaching and acts as the liaison between the academy and first team, playing a key role in promoting academy prospects.
Steve McClaren (Technical Coach)
Steve McClaren was the Assistant Coach last season but his role has been modified. He is now the first-team coach.
Paul Brand (Chief Analyst)
Paul Brand heads the long list of analysts at Manchester United as the Chief Analyst. The Head of Performance Analysis at United, Brand brings the experience of working with Blackburn Rovers and Performance Group International.
