Manchester United injury news for Crystal Palace clash in Premier League 2024-25 GW 5; Mason Mount & Rasmus Hojlund return to training
Many players have returned from injury as the Red Devils prepare for their next game.
Manchester United have been given an injury boost for their next Premier League game. Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount have returned to training ahead of the match.
However, there are still a few players who are recovering from injuries as the club hopes to have a full-fit squad this season. The club have had a poor start to the new Premier League season, winning only just two games so far. They are 10th in the table with just six points.
Erik ten Hag’s men have to improve their performance if they are to challenge for the top spot this season. Their recent two back-to-back wins will certainly give them a big boost ahead of the Crystal Palace game.
Considering a few players have also returned for the Saturday match it will provide the Dutchman with more options. Hojlund’s addition for the next match will be an uplift. Meanwhile, Joshua Zirkzee is slowly progressing to the demand of the Premier League.
Manchester United injury update for Crystal Palace match
United have a big list of injuries. They are still without many first-team players, who might return by the end of this year. Leny Yoro continues his recovery after he sustained a foot injury. His availability is expected to be against Chelsea in November.
Hojlund has started training with the first team. He could return for his first game of the season on Saturday if he receives the green light from the medical team. Tyrell Malacia remains in rehabilitation after spending last season on the sidelines with a knee injury. The full-back is still recovering. His comeback remains unknown.
Luke Shaw picked up a calf problem before the start of the new season. So far he has missed all United games. However, he seems to be recovering well. There are now chances that he will be in the squad when United visit Selhurst Park.
Similar to Shaw, Victor Lindelof also suffered a toe problem but reports claim that he has a chance to make the team for their game against Palace. Meanwhile, Mason Mount has also returned to training and should travel with the squad to face the Eagles.
