Ruben Amorim reveals injury news for the Red Devils!

Benjamin Sesko will not play for Manchester United against Everton on Monday night in the Premier League 2025-26 Matchday 12.

Ruben Amorim provided an update on Sesko during his pre-match press conference after the striker hobbled out of United’s thrilling draw with Tottenham before the international break.

The £74 million summer acquisition from RB Leipzig also missed international duty for Slovenian. He also skipped Friday morning’s United training.

Amorim has confirmed that Benjamin Sesko is unavailable for the Everton game – and could miss more in the coming weeks too.

“He is going to be a few weeks out,” the United boss said. “Not that serious, we have to be careful. He is feeling better.”

Harry Maguire doubtful for Everton game

Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire were also absent from Friday’s training at Carrington. Maguire is “not ready” to play on Monday, according to Amorim, but Mainoo is scheduled to train on Saturday in hopes of playing against the Toffees.

“Maguire is not ready,” Amorim said.

“Kobbie didn’t train today but I think we could see Kobbie tomorrow so we’ll see.”

He added: “There is an opportunity for other players like the under-21s. We will see it is not ideal. They are so important in our team.”

Lisandro Martinez update

Lisandro Martinez is still not available, according to Amorim, even if the defender is “getting close” to making his much-anticipated comeback. The Argentina international has resumed training after being sidelined since January due to a severe knee injury.

With Amad and Mbeumo on the wings, Amorim will need to modify his strategy in Sesko’s absence, perhaps utilising Matheus Cunha as a false No. 9, Mount or Zirkzee could also be options to fill in the final attacking spot.

After five straight games without a loss, United are tied for seventh place in the Premier League standings with four other teams with 18 points.

When will Benjamin Sesko return from injury?

Amorim said Sesko will be out for a few weeks.

Who else is unavailable for the Everton game?

Harry Maguire and Mainoo are doubtful.

Where do Man Utd stand in the PL table?

They are seventh in the table.
