The Red Devils have handed fresh injury updates.
Manchester United’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Burnley at Old Trafford on Saturday helped them move past the disappointment of losing to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.
After Josh Cullen’s own goal and Bryan Mbeumo’s first Premier League goal for the Reds, Burnley twice came back from behind. It was Bruno Fernandes’ penalty kick in stoppage time that was sufficient to guarantee all three points.
Now that club football has been put on hold for the next two weeks, United’s international players will go to represent their nations. The break may have come at a good time for Manchester United, given they had some injury concerns on Saturday.
United’s injury status as of right now, ahead of the September international break.
The club were hit with a double injury blow during the Burnley game. Ruben Amorim’s two key players were replaced as they couldn’t continue.
Joshua Zirkzee took Matheus Cunha’s place in the first half after he pulled up holding his hamstring during the victory over Burnley. Amorim is confident that the injury is not too serious. However, he has been withdrawn from the Brazil team for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

In the first half of the victory over Burnley, Mason Mount was outstanding. However, after halftime, Kobbie Mainoo took his place. Manchester United will be hoping that another setback won’t dampen his promising start to the season.
Despite suffering a cruciate ligament injury in the previous season, Lisandro Martinez has resumed training and plans to return to play following the international break in September. The club will next return to action on 14th September against Manchester City.
When will Lisandro Martinez return from the knee injury?
The centre-back is expected to return after the international break.
How long will Matheus Cunha be out with a hamstring injury?
The injury is said not to be serious, and the forward should return soon.
When will Man United be in action next?
They will next return to action on 14th September against Manchester City.
