The French club are open to listening to offers for Muani.

Manchester United are understood to be plotting a €70million (£58.6m / $76.7m) offer for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani. The reports say that United are ready to bring the France international to Old Trafford and are keeping an eye on the player’s situation at the club.

Muani hasn’t had any great sort of impact after the exit of Kylian Mbappe and if he continues to put in sub-par performance then the Ligue 1 club could sell the player for a satisfactory fee, and this has alerted United.

The 25-year-old joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in a huge €95m (£79.5m / $104m) deal on summer deadline day in 2023. Since then he recorded 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 games the previous season.

However, the player has not been able to hit the heights expected of him under Luis Enrique and now PSG are hoping to recoup a significant sum from his exit.

This will present United another chance to sign the striker given the club was interested in acquiring him in 2023, but the club instead brought Rasmus Hojlund, while in the recent transfer window, they brought Joshua Zirkzee.

However, interest in Muani has come after a report in Italy revealed that the Dutchman could leave United and the club could sell him in the next summer window as United want a more experienced striker given the Dutchman has struggled to fit in the Premier League.

United were once again active during this transfer window as they bolstered some parts of the squad to provide Erik ten Hag with enough resources to elevate United’s performance. However, that has not been the case as the club’s start to the new season has been dreadful as they are languishing in 14 places in the league.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag is under big pressure and talks are already going in United’s board regarding the former Ajax manager’s future. It will be interesting to see if he will continue before the end of the October international break.
