Manchester United are seriously weighing a move for Real Madrid star Federico Valverde following the midfielder’s dispute with manager Xabi Alonso.

Valverde’s Real fate is in grave danger following a disagreement with coach Xabi Alonso. The Uruguayan international is among several Real players reportedly unhappy with Alonso’s managerial style.

Despite having a contract that expires in 2029, Federico Valverde is thinking about leaving the Spanish powerhouses if his relationship with Alonso doesn’t improve. United are one of numerous clubs keeping close tabs on the situation.

Ruben Amorim would like to entice Federico Valverde to Old Trafford, as he is a major fan of him. However, Real’s management has made it known that if Federico Valverde desires to depart, his price tag would be £100m.

The two teams’ valuations of Valverde remain significantly different. United place the 27-year-old closer to the £70 million figure. When it comes to the transfer market, United and Real have done plenty of business in the past together.

Alonso has also been observed battling with Vinicius Jr during the opening months of his stint at the Santiago Bernabeu. Unfortunately, this occurs at a time when the Brazilian is in the middle of contract discussions.

The player-turned-manager maintains that despite the challenges of Real’s job, nothing has surprised him, despite all the politics. He stated:

“It’s turning out to be what I expected, a very demanding job. With moments when you need concentration, others when you need to react quickly. But I’m enjoying everything, the whole package that it entails.”

“It’s demanding, that’s clear. But I’m certainly not the first coach to have to deal with these situations. They’re not new situations. You have to know how to live with them.”

How much do Madrid want for Federico Valverde?

They want £100m for him.

How much are Manchester United ready to pay?

When is Federico Valverde’s Real deal expiring?
