Manchester United to profit nearly €25m from Mason Greenwood's reported Saudi tranfer fee

The Red Devils have a 50 per cent sell-on clause in Greenwood’s deal.
Due to interest from Saudi Arabian teams, it has been stated that Manchester United are all set to receive 50% of any price Marseille raise from Mason Greenwood’s sale this summer.
So far this summer, the Red Devils have made two significant acquisitions: Bryan Mbeumo, who came from Brentford for £71 million, and Matheus Cunha, who joined from Wolves for £62.5 million.
Man Utd’s recent summer window update so far
A striker, a defensive midfielder, and a goalkeeper are the positions that Manchester United are reportedly interested in adding before the transfer market closes.
Since Marcus Rashford wrapped up the transfer to Barcelona last week, the Red Devils are currently trying to sell as many members of their “fringe players” list as possible.

According to reports, they are also planning to sell or loan out Tyrell Malacia, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho this summer.
That would enable them to raise money for more additions, as Manchester United look to address their goal-scoring problems from the previous season by acquiring either Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa or Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
Man Utd could earn 50% of Greenwood’s sale price from Marseille
According to the French publication L’Equipe, if Greenwood leaves Marseille, the Red Devils have a 50% sell-on provision in the agreement they made to transfer him to the Ligue 1 team in 2024. This would give Manchester United an unexpected boost this summer.
“Basically, if OM sells him for €50 million, they will have bought him… for €50 million and will have recovered €25 million,” L’Equipe reports a “source close to the case” informed them.
According to the French publication, “it’s a safe bet that Greenwood will leave for a hefty sum given his performances, the strong interest shown by Saudi clubs this summer, and his age (23).”
