The club have made a few signings in the summer window.

To compete for the European spots next season, Ruben Amorim’s club will need to make major changes after Manchester United’s dismal season, in which they finished 15th in the Premier League without winning any trophies.

The following season’s lack of European action may make it more difficult for United to draw in top players during the summer transfer window. Still, the club have managed to solidify their attacking lineup with a few signings.

As the summer transfer window is currently open, we examine all of the finished Manchester United transfers for the 2025–2026 season.

Manchester United 2025 summer signings

Matheus Cunha, the first summer acquisition of the season, was successfully acquired by Manchester United from Wolves for £62.5 million. Despite interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, especially an outrageous offer from Al-Hilal, they were also able to keep their captain, Bruno Fernandes, because the Portuguese wants to play in Europe.

The Paraguayan sensation Diego Leon, who was acquired from Cerro Porteno for a starting price of $4 million (£3 million) with up to $4 million in add-ons, would be the club’s first signing of the Amorim era.

After weeks of difficult discussions, United reportedly agreed to pay Brentford £71 million to sign Bryan Mbeumo.

Manchester United 2025 summer departures

After his deal with Manchester United expired, Christian Eriksen might already be prepared to take on a new challenge. Meanwhile, Jonny Evans, who is scheduled to retire, joined the team as head of loans and pathways.

It appears that the club decided not to extend Victor Lindelof’s contract following their loss to Tottenham in the Europa League final.

After signing Le Havre’s Enzo Kana-Biyik as a free agent, the Dutch attacker is spending the season on loan at Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland.

Winger Jadon Sancho has drawn interest from Serie A teams, while Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on loan, and Alejandro Garnacho may be considered surplus in Amorim’s plans.

If the price is right, Rasmus Hojlund might return to Italy, and United have reportedly increased their asking price for Antony in response to a surge in interest in the Brazilian.
