In-form Reds face injury-prone United in another blockbuster pre-season clash.

Manchester United rebounded from their close loss (2-1 in Full Time) to Arsenal when Real Betis came to the Snapdragon Stadium in California for a pre-season friendly. The first 35 minutes of the match were electrifying for the crowd in San Diego.

Marcus Rashford, Amad Diallo and Casemiro were on target in the first half for United while Iker Losada and Diego Llorente scored for Betis. Both sides enjoyed a goal-galore contest as Erik ten Hag’s side managed to scrape a win, which was their first pre-season victory.

But given their terrible run of preseason injuries, Man United found little solace in the friendly win in San Diego.

In Philadelphia on Wednesday night, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot orchestrated a 2-1 victory over Arsenal, with 21-year-old Harvey Elliott leading the way in the number 10 position. The win served as the perfect performance for the Reds under their new head coach.

Elliott put on two elegant assists in the match, first setting up Mohamed Salah and then finding Fabio Carvalho with a nuanced dink over the top of the Arsenal defence. Arsenal’s reply came from Kai Havertz.

Liverpool didn’t contribute much offensively in the second half, but Arsenal‘s control in possession did not result in a flurry of shots on goal as Slot’s strong structure saw through to lead the Reds to their second preseason victory.

Where and how to watch Manchester United vs Liverpool around the globe?

Arne Slot, Jurgen Klopp’s replacement, has had a positive pre-season with the Reds, who are aiming for a successful upcoming season.

In their most recent game, the Red Devils defeated Real Betis 3-2, however, the victory was tainted by the injuries to two first-team regulars.

The Manchester United vs Liverpool pre-season game will be played out on Sunday, 4 August. The match will kick off at 5 am IST. Williams-Brice Stadium, a stadium in South Carolina, will serve as the venue for these Premier League giants clash.

Live coverage of the game will be available on MUTV and LFCTV Go. The match can be watched live on the MUTV and LFCTV Go app and website.
