But his second season was disastrous, as Manchester United had one of their worst seasons ever in Premier League history. They conceded the most goals (58), finishing in eighth place and amassing the second-fewest points (60).

With a stunning 2-1 FA Cup final triumph against city rivals Manchester City that defied the odds, Ten Hag was able to salvage some of the season. His contract was recently renewed to stay with the team for the time being.

Real Betis have picked up one and lost one of their two friendlies this preseason, whilst the Red Devils have fallen short in two of their three matches.

As they continue to get ready for the 2024–25 campaign, Betis have only played two friendlies. They defeated Austria Salzburg 5–1 in their first match before falling short of Liverpool 1-0 in their most recent encounter.

After failing to qualify for European football in four of the previous five seasons, the Greens had very little to celebrate last season in LaLiga, ending in seventh place with 57 points.

After leading the team for five league games without a win in December & January and four straight losses in March, Manuel Pellegrini—who took over as manager of the team in August 2020—had several challenging periods during the season.
