Manchester United warn staff of termination if they leak confidential information: Report

The club have been facing problems on and off the field.

According to reports, Manchester United have threatened to dismiss club employees who divulge private information to the media.

The Telegraph claims that CEO Omar Berrada is investigating the serious problem of frequent leaks in Old Trafford and has made it plain that disclosing private club information will be deemed “gross misconduct,” which is punishable by immediate termination under employment laws. Earlier this week, the senior supervisor delivered a heated 580-word email with his message.

Ironically, The Telegraph was able to get Berrada’s email, which detailed the club’s resolve to stop unauthorized leaks as it’s affecting the club off the pitch.

“Anyone disclosing information outside of the club is breaching their obligations of confidentiality, and we are very clear that this will be considered gross misconduct,” read the email.“To protect the club and its colleagues, additional measures are being put in place to prevent future breaches of confidentiality and also identify any persons responsible.”

Berrada advised staff members to exercise caution because reporters often utilize a variety of channels, such as social media, WhatsApp, and phone conversations, to contact insiders for exclusive information. They have now been instructed to report any outside attempts to obtain information on the club.

The club had been struggling financially, having lost more than ÂŁ300 million over the previous three years. As a result, Manchester United are investigating several strategies to reduce costs and boost earnings. Additional information about cost-cutting measures will be shared at a staff meeting that United have scheduled for Monday in an effort to address the matter further.

Manager Ruben Amorim will try to return the attention to football when his squad plays Everton club in the Premier League on Saturday at Goodison Park, despite the high level of tension behind what is happening. The team will try to ignore the ongoing drama around restructuring and put on a show that makes the red part of Manchester feel better.
