Manchester United yet to decide on Erik ten Hag's future: Report
The Dutch manager is under pressure after inconsistent results
Manchester United & the INEOS group have not decided on Erik ten Hag’s future at the club, confirms famous journalist David Ornstein.
Speaking to NBC Sports, Ornstein claimed that Erik ten Hag’s job hangs in the balance at Old Trafford and no decision has been made on the manager’s future. The market for replacements is understood to be slim which might help his cause at the end of the season. This is one of the primary reasons why the club is not looking to take an immediate decision.
He added that there is still an agreement on Dan Ashworth despite talks between Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Amanda Stavely, however, Jason Wilcox should arrive sooner.
The journalist further gave an update on the transfer targets of the club. He said that Manchester United are prioritising a move for centre-back, left-back, midfielder and striker.
A report from GIVEMESPORT also claims that Ten Hag’s willingness to integrate youth academy players into the first team, and doing so successfully, is a strong point working in his favour.

Manchester United have been linked with Graham Potter, Julian Nagelsmann and Gareth Southgate in the last few weeks. Reports are emerging that Thiago Motta is also a possible candidate to replace the Dutchman.
When asked about his long-term future, Motta said: “I’m not thinking about the future because we’re living such a beautiful moment that I just want to enjoy it, not only with fans but all those people associated with Bologna. Therefore, I don’t have time to think about the future but when the time comes, we will think about it.”
The report also adds that Man United admires more experienced managers like Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte. Former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui is said to have been considered in the past but is reportedly no longer among the leading candidates.
