Marco Materazzi predicts winner of PSG vs Real Madrid Club World Cup clash

Los Blancos have won the competition a record five times.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is now in the semifinal stage. With only four teams left, the competition is going to be more intense. Fluminense take on Chelsea in the first semi-final fixture. Paris Saint-Germain will face Real Madrid in the other.

All of the teams which have made it this far deserve to be here. They have all shown top performances on the world stage so far. The teams which will be capable enough are likely to book spots in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final.

The PSG vs Real Madrid semi-final in the mega competition is going to be an intense fixture. They have not faced each other in the last couple of seasons. It will be interesting to see which team among these will come out on top.

The Ligue 1 giants and the UEFA Champions League winners, PSG have been in great form during their 2024-25 campaign. The Luis Enrique-led squad are coming in after winning a treble. But it is not going to be an easy fixture for them against the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid didn’t have the best season, but they still managed to show great tempo most of the season. There has been a change in the form for Los Blancos since Xabi Alonso was appointed as their new manager.

But when talking about their odds against PSG, the Italy legend Marco Materazzi had something else on his mind.

What did Marco Materazzi say?

Both Real Madrid and PSG have faced each other on multiple occasions, but it will be their first meeting in the mega competition. They have previously battled in the UCL. Real Madrid have a slightly better record against the Parisians.

Marco Materazzi, who is a former defender for the Italy national football team and also a World Cup winner, has shared his opinion on which team will make it to the final.

As per Materazzi, “Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain will play a very complicated match, so it is not easy to anticipate the finalist of that bracket.”

He also shared his views on the other semifinal between the Tricolor and the Blues. The Italian legend has opted for Fluminense to get through to the final of the mega competition after taking down Chelsea.

Furthermore, Marco Materazzi sided with PSG to go through against Real Madrid in the other semi-final. “My forecast is that the final will be between Fluminense and PSG,” he further said.

The team which will come out on top and achieve the Club World Cup glory is set to receive a massive cash prize and the prestigious trophy.
