The forward had to be replaced due to an injury.
Mikel Arteta is worried about his team’s trip to Anfield next weekend. Bukayo Saka departed the field with an injury in the 53rd minute of Saturday afternoon’s match between Arsenal and Leeds United.
Saka suffered the injury just after Viktor Gyokeres, the team’s big summer acquisition, gave the home team their third goal against the visitors.
The England international signalled to his manager that he would have to be removed after receiving brief medical attention after he pulled up on the field.
What did Mikel Arteta say about the situation?

Saka registered Arsenal’s second goal before leaving the pitch, and the Gunners were in complete control of their victory, eventually winning 5-0 at the Emirates.
Saka cautiously left the field, and when he was replaced by Leandro Trossard, his manager embraced him.
Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta provided an update on his injury, even as they waited for a full doctor’s report.
“Bukayo felt something in his hamstring when he was running with the ball. We will have to speak with the doctors tomorrow. So just wait, but for Bukayo to come off, it has to be something significant,” the Gunners coach said as quoted by Football London.
It can become a cause of concern for the player
After missing a significant portion of the previous season due to a hamstring strain, the 23-year-old has reason to be concerned, even if his substitution was a precaution.
Bukayo Saka was forced to miss time until early April after suffering the injury against Crystal Palace in December of last year.
After undergoing surgery before the end of 2024, Arsenal’s No. 7 missed 10 games in their previous 172 games across all competitions; thus, his absence from Arteta’s starting lineup was felt greatly.
What injury has Saka suffered?
Arteta revealed he has felt something in his hamstring.
How long will Saka be out?
It remains to be seen after the scans.
Has Saka previously suffered a hamstring injury?
