The Egyptian star has just two goals in nine league games this season.
Jamie Carragher, a pundit and Liverpool legend, believes that Mohamed Salah should no longer be expected to start for Liverpool every week.
In Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United, Salah was among Liverpool’s worst performers. He squandered two crucial opportunities to help his side get something from the match. Not only that the forward looking sluggish while trying ot dribble or take on his opponents.
Jamie Carragher feels Mohamed Salah shouldn’t start every Liverpool match

The 33-year-old signed a new two-year contract at the end of the previous season, and Carragher thinks it’s time for Liverpool manager Arne Slot to reconsider how he employs him.
“I think we’re at that stage now where Mo Salah shouldn’t be a guaranteed starter every week,” Carragher told The Gary Neville Podcast.
“I do think this is a real conundrum for the manager going forward.”
“I don’t think Salah should be like a Virgil van Dijk where it’s like first name on the teamsheet,” the former Liverpool defender added in the Sky Sports studio.
“Liverpool have got two away games – in the Champions League at Frankfurt and then they go to Brentford. I don’t think Salah should start both of those games.”
Mohamed Salah has been a liability for the Reds this campaign as he has failed to live up to his past performance. He has contributed only two goals so far, which is a worrying sign given he has been the main goalscorer for the club for so long.
Meanwhile, some fans might agree with Jamie Carragher’s comments as Salah’s performance has been nothing but forgetful, and if this continues, then Arne Slot might be forced into making a difficult decision this campaign.
However, the season has only started, and nine games have already been played. Fans will expect Salah to pick up his form quickly as the Reds have now lost four games in a row this season, which is not a good sign if they are to contend for any major trophy this season.
