The German manager will leave the club at the end of the season

After it was revealed that Ralf Rangnick is in discussions with Bayern Munich to replace Thomas Tuchel as head coach this summer, supporters of the team launched a petition. After a little more than a year in charge, Tuchel—a former Chelsea manager—is scheduled to depart the Allianz Arena.

Even though one of the world’s best strikers, Harry Kane, was signed from Tottenham last summer, things haven’t gone smoothly for the German powerhouses on the pitch.

Third-tier side 1 eliminated them from the DFB-Pokal. FC Saarbrucken was crushed 3-0 by RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup final, while Bayer Leverkusen won the Bundesliga before the conclusion of April, Xabi Alonso’s team achieved their first-ever league title beating Bayern after a decade of dominance in the league.

Although there is still a chance for Bayern to win the Champions League and avoid finishing the season without winning a major prize, the club’s management is not pleased with the way the season has gone and Tuchel’s departure was announced back in February.

Due to the sudden choice, the team has had time to locate an alternate, and Rangnick, a former Manchester United manager, recently disclosed that he is in negotiations for the position.

The 65-year-old, who was briefly manager of Man United during the 2021–2022 season, is currently in command of the Austrian national team and helped them secure a Euro 2024 spot.

You would think Bayern supporters would be pleased with the news given his track record with RB Leipzig, but that hasn’t been the case as the fans have even created a petition to express their disapproval of the announcement.

Unexpectedly, supporters are eager for Thomas Tuchel to stay in command at the Allianz Arena and have begun a petition to that effect, ignoring the fact that he is leading the first Bayern Munich side to fail to win a league title in more than ten years. As of the moment of written form, it has over 11,000 signatures.
