Morocco name preliminary squad for FIFA World Cup 2026 ft. Bouaddi Ayyoub

Morocco will confirm their official squad in the coming days.
Morocco’s preliminary squad was revealed on Thursday by Mohamed Ouahbi. These names will now be part of the pre-training camp that will take place from May 22 to 26 in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
They will confirm their official World Cup squad in the coming days. The 2022 semi-finalists will be keen to make another deep run in the competition next month.
Morocco and Burundi will play a friendly behind closed doors during this camp. The list of athletes scheduled to attend the camp was made public by the FRMF on Thursday.
Among them are Tawfik Bentayeb, the leading scorer in Ligue 2, Sofiane Boufal, and Ayyoub Bouaddi, who has decided to represent Morocco.
Along with Yassine Gessime, Abdelhamid Ait-Boudlal, Samir El Mourabet, and Yassir Zabiri, the team also includes Watford duo Othmane Maamma and Imran Louza. Yanis Benchaouch and Ibrahim Gomis, the U20 goalkeepers from AS Monaco and OM, will also take part in the camp.

Defenders: Baqi Ismaël (SCO Angers), Saadane Marouane (Al Fateh SC), Ait Boulaid Abdelhamid (Stade Rennais FC), Chibi Mohamed (Pyramids FC), El Mourabet Samir (RC Strasbourg Alsace), Targhalline Oussama (Feyenoord Rotterdam), Gessime Yassine (RC Strasbourg Alsace), Bouftini Soufiane (Al Wasl FC), Bellamari Youssef (Al Ahly FC), El Karouani Souffian (FC Utrecht).
Midfielders: Salahedine Anass (PSV Eindhoven), Louza Imran (Watford FC), Saibari Ismael (PSV Eindhoven), Bounida Rayane (Ajax Amsterdam), Bouaddi Ayyoub (LOSC Lille), Bentayeb Tawfik (ESTAC Troyes), Amaimouni-Echghouyab Ayoube (Eintracht Frankfurt), El-Faouzi Soufiane (FC Schalke 04).
Forwards: Boufal Soufiane (Le Havre AC), Zabiry Yassir (Stade Rennais FC), Maamma Othmane (Watford FC), Benjida Soufiane (AS Fès), Begraoui Yanis (GD Estoril Praia), El Khayouf (Olympiacos).
