The Atlas Lions can seal progression to the Round of 32 with a win tonight.
Morocco take on Haiti in their final Group C match in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 24. The Atlast Lions are second in the group and can guarantee their qualification with three points tonight against their already eliminated opponents.
The North African side began their campaign with a spirited 1-1 draw against Brazil. Ismael Saibari gave his side the lead in the 21st minute, but Vinicius Junior equalised after the half-hour mark. In fact, Mohamed Ouahbi’s men would have been disappointed not to come away with all three points, having dominated the Selecao throughout the contest.
The Maghrebis returned to winning ways in their next group game against Scotland, beating them 1-0 courtesy of another fine strike from Saibari. This extended their unbeaten run at World Cup group-stage games to six matches, and put them in a strong position to progress to the next stage in the expanded 48-team tournament in North America.

Thoughts on the lineup
The Atlas Lions side have found their rhythm in the last two games, but head coach Ouahbi has rested a few key players for tonight’s game.
Yassine ‘Bono’ Bounou starts between the sticks. He will be protected by the centre-back pairing of Redouane Halhal, who is making his first appearance in the tournament, and Crystal Palace youngster Chadi Riad. Achraf Hakimi, the reigning African player of the year, starts at right-back. PSV’s Anass Salah-Eddine replaces Noussair Mazraoui at left-back.
Lille prodigy Ayyoub Bouaddi has been magnificent in both matches, but he is given a rest tonight. Instead, former Manchester United man Sofyan Amrabat comes in and is joined by Roma’s Neil El Aynaoui, who will drop deep and disrupt the Haitian attacks.
Saibari has been in wonderful goalscoring touch, but he drops deep into the number 10 position tonight. He is joined by Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz and Stuttgart’s Bilal El Khannous on the flanks. Ayoub El Kaabi, who was on the bench for the last two games, starts as the centre-forward.
