The Atlas Lions are coming off a 1-1 draw against Brazil in their World Cup opener.

Morocco will face Scotland in their Group C Matchday 2 fixture in the FIFA World Cup 2026 at Gillette Stadium on July 19. The North African side come into the fixture after a surprising 1-1 draw against Brazil, but they will face a tough clash against an in-form Scotland side.

Ismael Saibari’s 21st-minute strike against Brazil gave the Atlas Lions a shock lead. Although Vinicius’ goal brought parity to the clash, the result was a brilliant one for Mohamed Ouahbi’s men.

Considered a dark horse after their historic fourth-place finish four years earlier in Qatar, the Atlas Lions will look to go one step further and mount a serious challenge for the title in the expanded 48-team tournament in North America.

With a clash against minnows Haiti coming up next, Achraf Hakimi and company will know that three points against Scotland will put them in pole position to secure first place in the group.
