New 'Mystery Chip' in FPL: Explained & everything you need to know

Now assistant managers can be used in fantasy football.
It has been announced that a Mystery Chip was going to be unveiled during the 2024–25 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) campaign when it started in the summer. The time has finally arrived.
The Assistant Manager chip is an unidentified card!
Soon, you will be able to select one of the 20 managers in the Premier League to assist you accrue points in addition to choosing 15 players for your team.
You will be allowed to select an Assistant Manager for THREE consecutive Gameweeks after you activate the chip, which will be playable starting with Gameweek 24 in January.
You can get a single score for every goal, three points for a draw, two points for keeping a clean sheet, and six points for every victory from your assistant manager.
Will you now support Arne Slot to lead Liverpool to a hat-trick of wins? Ten points would be earned for a 2-0 victory, and you might even have three straight!
Selecting a manager who takes on a team that is at least five spots higher in the Premier League standings at the beginning of the game could result in even bigger rewards: an extra 10 points for a victory, making the total 16 points, or an extra five points for a draw, making the total eight points.
Therefore, is it preferable to choose a manager whose team is at the top of the table or one who is further down and ready for some significant outcomes in FPL? You make the choice!
There will be a fixed fee for each assistant manager that doesn’t change over the season. Manager fees will range from £0.5m to £1.5m, but the price list will be revealed when it is ready.
You will have to find the money by making concessions in your playing squad in order to pay for your assistant manager out of your current budget. Additionally, as it is intended to be played throughout three-game weeks, it is not a one-week-only chip.
