Newcastle United considering move for Manchester United star Antony

The Red Devils are open to selling the former Ajax player.
Newcastle United might turn their eyes on Manchester United star Antony if their pursuit of Anthony Elanga doesn’t work out.
The Magpies are thought to have long desired to buy a dynamic winger. The early part of 2025 will give them an opportunity to do so. In comparison to their Premier League rivals, Newcastle United had a quiet summer transfer window.
The club signed free agents Lloyd Kelly and John Ruddy. In the same window, their four bids for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi were rejected.
The Magpies may actually have benefits over teams predicted to be around them in the English top tier because they don’t have any European games to play this season. It’s clear that they’ll want to attempt and bolster further in the January window.
Even though Antony has only scored 11 goals in his last two seasons at Old Trafford, he still has room to grow in the right team.
According to sources, Manchester United are now willing to sell a player whom they signed for £86 million for a price of around £40 million. Eddie Howe is rumoured to think highly of Antony’s abilities. Howe even thinks he would be a great asset to the team. Additionally, it is said that the player is eager to join the St James’ Park hosts.
According to sources, Newcastle United are willing to pay the new asking price. If Antony can establish himself right away on Tyneside, he may potentially revive his career and swiftly win over fans.
Despite scoring in his United debut against Arsenal, Antony seemed to have never really established his footing at the club.
The winger found it difficult to gain traction. He is currently Erik ten Hag‘s second-choice player, with Amad Diallo being chosen over him. His future at the club is still up in the air.
