The Brazilian got into a heated argument with the teenager.
Neymar’s tenure at Santos has been anything but straight forward. While he concentrates on making his way into Brazil’s 2026 World Cup team, yet another controversy has surfaced.
According to reports, during a training session, the superstar got into a fight with Robinho Jr., the son of former Brazilian international Robinho.
Neymar participated in a Sunday training session at the club’s facility after being excluded from Santos’ Saturday match against Palmeiras at the Allianz Parque because of the artificial turf. Neymar and the 18-year-old Robinho Jr. were among the reserve team players and those who had not played the day before.
Neymar confront Robinho’s son during Santos training

The two players got into a fight during the Sunday morning practice at the CT Rei Pelé, according to Globo Esporte. According to the Brazilian outlets, Neymar became agitated when the teenager dribbled past him. He responded by telling the youngster to slow down during the drill.
The two players apparently got into a shoving match, and the altercation got out of hand. Neymar allegedly slapped Robinho Jr. and caught him with a trip that lifted him off the ground, according to at least one person Globo Esporte spoke with.
Given that Neymar has served as Robinho Jr.’s tutor ever since the youngster started navigating the Santos setup, the episode was all the more unexpected. His father, former Real Madrid and Manchester City striker Robinho, was a longstanding teammate at the national team. The two families have stayed close over the years, which makes the training-ground incident even more shocking.
Globo Esporte claims that before leaving the training facility, Neymar apologised to Robinho Jr. for his actions, and the matter was settled before the end of the session.
Why did the forward confront the teenager?
During the drill, the teenager tried to go past the Brazilian, which escalated into a heated argument.
How old is Robinho Jr?
He is 18 years old.
