The forward is set to extend his stay at the Brazilian club.
The shocking scope and generosity of Neymar’s recent contract with Santos have caused a stir in the football community. In addition to his incredible pay, the contract offers the superstar a number of benefits that would make even the most seasoned player jealous.
The most striking of these benefits is the availability of private flights to every Santos game, which guarantees Neymar travels in comfort and style with the people he chooses. The luxury doesn’t end there; Neymar and his group will be accommodated at lavish five-star hotels while travelling, ensuring the highest level of comfort and leisure.
The former Barcelona player has access to three exclusive private boxes at Vila Belmiro, Santos’ home field, which can hold up to 36 people. He has the privilege of giving away 20 tickets for away games as he pleases, demonstrating the club’s dedication to his constant presence.
Additionally, the contract has a renewal provision that, if specific financial goals are met, could extend Neymar’s contract until the 2026 World Cup.
Notably, the former PSG star is still guaranteed the entire amount of money that was originally agreed upon in the event that the contract expires early, highlighting the incredibly strong security this agreement offers.
Neymar earns an incredible R$21 million a month from Santos. This is evidence of the enormous commercial value he adds to the club. R$ 4.14 million of this is set up as a fixed income, with the balance, R$ 17 million, coming from image rights.
The forward stands to receive an eye-watering R$ 105 million during the initial five-month contract term. To put this into context, Santos are spending over a quarter of the club’s whole projected budget of R$ 395.1 million for 2025.
These numbers demonstrate not just Neymar‘s immense star power but also clubs’ audacious goals, particularly in light of their recent return to Brazilian Serie A amid a flurry of club dynamics.
