Neymar to see 'miracle doctor' in hope to keep 2026 World Cup dream alive

The Brazilian forward is set to undergo knee surgery.
In an attempt to recover from injury and join Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad in North America next summer, Neymar is scheduled to see the “miracle doctor” in Brazil.
Neymar has had difficulty staying healthy throughout the year, but he made a late comeback, scoring goals and helping Santos finish 12th in the Brazilian first division league, thereby avoiding relegation.
Neymar scored five goals and contributed one assist in his final four appearances for Santos at the end of the Brazilian Serie A season, helping his childhood team win their final three games and avoid relegation. The Brazilian legend scored a hat-trick during Santos’ 3-0 victory over Juventude as part of the late comeback.
Neymar, meanwhile, is still recuperating from his ongoing physical problems and intends to improve to get totally healthy and be called up to the Brazil team for the 2026 World Cup next summer.
Neymar to be treated by ‘miracle doctor’

Neymar’s left knee will soon get a partial arthroscopic meniscectomy. According to ESPN, the 33-year-old will soon see Eduardo Santos, a well-known Brazilian physiotherapist who is referred to as “Dr Miracle” for his ability to heal patients quickly and frequently with unusual techniques.
Hulk, Oscar, Philippe Coutinho, and, more recently, Matheus Cunha and Vanderson of Manchester United are among his well-known patients. Santos is presently in England, closely monitoring Fulham player Rodrigo Muniz’s recuperation.
In 2015, Santos miraculously got former Brazilian defender David Luiz to play his next game in just ten days after he was out for eight to ten weeks.
Neymar told the media following Santos’ season-ending match that he wants to stay with the team after his current contract expires in a few weeks.
