When is Panama World Cup squad announcement? Date & time revealed

The Panama national football team will now be making their second-ever appearance in the FIFA World Cup. They performed really well during the Concacaf qualifiers and became one of the teams to secure a direct spot from their region.

They qualified for FIFA’s flagship tournament for the first time in 2018. They were knocked out of the group stage itself after losing all of their matches.

This time, in their region of the World Cup qualifiers, they have performed well. Their efforts in the recent international friendly matches were also good enough. They even took down South Africa (2-1) in March 2026.

Los Canaleros are slowly coming up as one of the most difficult and well-categorised groups of the Concacaf region. They have a defensive mentality at the moment and can come up with counterattacks as well.

Under Thomas Christiansen, Panama might have a chance to get through the group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026. They will need a strong strategy and loads of luck to come up with some strong performances against England, Croatia and Ghana.

When will Panama announce their final squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026?

The head coach Thomas Christiansen will be unveiling the Panama’s final squad on Tuesday, May 26. They will be coming in with the announcement on the same day as United States men’s national soccer team.

The timings for the reveal have not been globally finalised as of now.

Before heading to the grandest stage of them all, the Panama national football team will be taking on South Africa on May 29 and Brazil on May 31 for international friendly fixtures.

It is going to be a perfect opportunity for them to gain some momentum for FIFA’s flagship tournament, which is all set to begin on June 11. This time around, the mega competition will be contested across Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.
