Paul Pogba's potential AS Monaco debut delayed again

The midfielder is still not fully fit to play for AS Monaco.
With the World Cup winner still trying to get up to speed with his recovery to play football again, Paul Pogba may have to wait a bit longer to make his competitive debut for Monaco.
After suffering a doping ban, which was lifted last year, Pogba has been sidelined with fitness issues. He has not yet started playing as he fights for full fitness, taking no needless chances with his health.
Paul Pogba was expected to make his eagerly anticipated comeback last weekend against SCO Angers. That eventually didn’t work out, as the midfielder for AS Monaco experienced a slight setback during his three-month program.
Manager reveals when Paul Pogba can make his Monaco debut
Sébastien Pocognoli, the newly appointed coach of Monaco, was evasive earlier this week when discussing a potential comeback, saying it might happen in a few days or another two or three weeks.
On Friday, Pocognoli went into more detail. “We need to still push next week. That will be the best thing, so that he can be in the best conditions to make his return. There is great communication between him and the medical staff to allow him (Pogba) to be in the best conditions and as confident as possible,” he began.
Pocognoli added, “I am hoping that this upcoming week will answer our final questions. He is close, but there are still steps, notably doing a whole training session at 100%, which he has yet to do. I think we are still a few weeks away.
“We’ll see if that is before or after the international break, but in any case, it is great to see him back on the pitch and among his teammates. It allows me to not only find out about the person off the pitch, but also now on it.”
Even while the Principality club are making encouraging sounds, Paul Pogba could have to wait a little while longer for his return to the pitch.
