The 2018 World Cup winner has turned down offers from Saudi Arabia and MLS.

This summer, AS Monaco hope to make a spectacular double swoop by pursuing Paul Pogba and Barcelona outcast Ansu Fati.

According to Sport, Monaco are keen to secure Fati’s signing and are optimistic that the transfer will be completed soon.

After that, they will work to get Paul Pogba, which might take place within the next week. The 32-year-old midfielder is now able to play again after becoming a free agent at the end of the previous season.

According to reports, the French team has offered a two-year contract that includes a key role in the team and the possibility of playing in the Champions League. Pogba’s transfer is a lifeline to resurrect his international career, not only for club football. Pogba is set to make financial sacrifices in order to join Monaco

Paul Pogba wants to feature at 2026 FIFA World Cup

Paul Pogba is adamant about playing for France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and is not interested in moving to the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer.

A possible transfer to Ligue 1 with AS Monaco, who will compete in the Champions League following the season and hence have more appeal, is possible for the 2018 World Cup winner, who hasn’t played a game since 2022 because of an 18-month drug suspension.

The acquisition not only gives the French club one of the top midfield players but also allows Pogba to resume his football career, after the player was away from football for so long.

Once the Ligue 1 club finalise the arrival of the former Manchester United player, they will turn their eyes to Barcelona youngster Fati.

Monaco also anticipates signing Fati, who was originally thought to be Lionel Messi’s successor at Barcelona before a series of injury setbacks halted his development.

This will be a big coup for Monaco, as their addition will bring a spectacular attacking intent to the team and solidify their offensive lineup that will see the club compete in the Champions League.
