The former Barcelona and PSG star has had a decorated career and still has a lot left in him.

Neymar Jr recently made a move back to his boyhood club, Santos FC, from the Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal. The Brazil forward might even return to Barcelona or maybe move to some other club at the start of the new season. Neymar has faced some issues and has stayed away from football action due to his injuries.

The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star is doing well upon his return to Santos FC. He was given a spot in the Brazil national football team for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. But due to injury woes, he did not play for Brazil in that International break. Real Madrid‘s Endrick was named as Neymar’s replacement.

With a special skill set, Neymar even came close to competing alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Neymar Jr is also considered one of the top Brazilian players ever. He can score goals and build up some plays to set his fellow teammates on the attacking front.

Neymar also has good ball control, which helps him to come up with some special skill moves to bamboozle the defenders. Similarly, he has used over nine different styles to score a spot kick.

9. Fake Shot

Neymar tries to fake a shot and then hits the ball to confuse the goalkeeper. It increases the chances of scoring a spot-kick.

8. Double Fake Shot

Trying to fake a shot twice in the same moment is a tough job but Neymar pulled it off and has been able to score some goals with this penalty technique as well.

7. Fake ball adjustment

Instead of readjusting the ball, Neymar goes in to take the shot and scores a penalty. He has not used this technique in recent times.

6. Fast Run Up

The technique makes the goalie nervous and is also used by several top stars. The player runs in fast and takes a shot without stopping making it tough for keepers to stop the ball.

5. Switch Kick

Neymar used his weak foot instead of his strong foot to take the shot which made it confusing for the goalkeeper.

4. No run-up

The player stands next to the ball and takes the shot without taking any form of run-up.

3. Panenka

This is referred to as the toughest penalty kick technique of all as the chances of scoring are very low but it has been effective. ‘Panenka’ spot-kick technique is named after Czechia football legend Antonin Panenka.

2. Pass

Neymar used this technique during his PSG days when he passed the ball to a fellow teammate while taking the penalty.

1. Slow run-up (Current technique)

He comes up with a slow run-up and takes the shot which does confuse the goalie as it makes them nervous.
