Pep Guardiola gives Manchester City injury news update ahead of Tottenham clash in Premier League Gameweek 2

City set to welcome Rodri in the fold for the Spurs’ game.

Pep Guardiola has provided massive news on Manchester City stars’ injuries, confirming that Rodri and Phil Foden are ready to feature against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow.

Both players were among the spectators when City thrashed Wolves 4-0 in the first game of the season. The reason for their absence was for the fact that they weren’t fit for the selection.

Despite both players not starting, City convincingly got the job done as they dispatched Wolves without much effort. Goals came from new signings Ryan Cherki and Tijjain Rejinders, and a brace from Erling Haaland.

The addition of Rodri will be a major upgrade in the midfield for Guardiola, who missed the Spanish player for the majority of last season due to an ACL injury.

Meanwhile, Foden, who endured an inconsistent run last season, will hope to revive his form and hope to play a key role in spearheading the club to silverware this term.
