This Sunday, City will have a chance to win their first trophy of the season.
The Premier League powerhouse has gained a significant boost ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Arsenal, despite the disappointment of leaving Europe. When Erling Haaland was replaced in the 60th minute of the Champions League match against Real Madrid, there were concerns. He seemed to be shaking his head as he took his spot on the bench.
Pep Guardiola addresses Erling Haaland injury rumours

The City manager, though, was quick to brush off any rumours about his star player, who was being targeted.
“Erling Haaland has no injury,” Guardiola told reporters after the game. “He will be available against Arsenal in the Cup final.”
The Etihad supporters will be extremely relieved by the news, as the team hopes to win its first trophy in a challenging season. As they take on a Gunners team that is presently leading the Premier League title race, having the primary focus of their assault ready for Wembley is crucial.
Now, as City try to get out of their slump, attention must quickly turn to domestic issues. In addition to being eliminated from the Champions League, the team has lost to West Ham and Nottingham Forest, giving Arsenal a sizable advantage at the top of the league standings.
The Wembley final on Sunday is the ideal chance to retaliate against Mikel Arteta’s team and recover some much-needed momentum for the campaign’s last stretch.
Other City players’ injury news
Savinho was taken off during their first-leg clash with Real Madrid. Although Guardiola revealed it was a tactical change, the Brazilian felt something in his hamstring. The player returned to the bench for the second-leg defeat and should be available for the Cup final game.
John Stones continues to recover from an ankle injury. He was on the bench for yesterday’s game. However, he should be fit to play in the Carabao Cup final.
Rico Lewis was seen training with the squad, but did not make a trip for the second leg. It remains to be seen when the player will get a medical green light.
Since fracturing his leg in January, Josko Gvardiol has been ruled out for the entire season. He will return in the next campaign.
