FPL has continued to grow among football fans, and players continue to earn points through their performance, which can happen in a variety of ways.

Fundamentally, goals, assists, clean sheets, and appearances are all worth points. However, a goal by a midfielder will receive five points, while a goal by a striker earns four points, and a goal by a defender gains six points.

Defensive impact points are new to FPL 2025–2026. For every ten clearances, blocks, interceptions, and tackles (CBITs), defenders receive two extra points. For every twelve clearances, blocks, interceptions, recoveries, and tackles (CBIRTs), midfielders receive two extra points.

Defenders and goalkeepers keep clean sheets, while attacking players score the majority of their points through goals and assists. Additionally, goalkeepers are acknowledged for their ability to stop penalties and make saves.

5. Bruno Fernandes – 192 points

Despite United’s patchy performance, the midfielder for Manchester United has climbed by £0.1 million to £9.1 million, retaining a strong 21.5% ownership. With 192 points this season, Fernandes has been United’s best player lately.

Despite the captain’s injury, the midfielder continues to score the most FPL points among the players in his previous three games, demonstrating his dependability.

4. Bryan Mbeumo – 200 points

Bryan Mbeumo, a midfielder for United, is now valued at £8.4 million due to his outstanding 200 points this season. He is still a preferred option for Fantasy Premier League managers, with 28.6% ownership.

However, the forward has missed numerous games for United and will continue to do so because he is playing for Cameroon at AFCON 2025. The extent of his absence from league games will depend on how far his country can advance in the competition.

3. Mohamed Salah – 206 points

Despite enduring a poor season and his relationship with the club deteriorated Mohamed Salah has continued to gain enough FPL points. He stands third with the most FPL points this season. The Egyptian has netted just four goals and provided three assists in 14 league games this campaign.

However, once he returns from AFCON 2025 duty, Mohamed Salah will hope to rediscover his form for the Reds and start finding the back of the net more often as Liverpool fight for the top spot after lifting the league last season.

2. Antoine Semenyo – 207 points

Antoine Semenyo has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign this term, and his place in the FPL makes sense as the forward remains second with the most points in the league. The AFC Bournemouth star has been terrific. He led the Cherries’ attack with nine goals and recorded three assists in 19 league matches.

However, he is on the verge of joining Manchester City in the current transfer window, according to several reports. Semenyo will hope to continue his impressive form this term.

1. Erling Haaland – 224 points

Erling Haaland has continued his fine form and remains top of the list with the most FPL points. Moreover, he is also the top scorer in the league with 19 goals in 20 matches, which is enough to justify his FPL points and why he remains at the top.
