5. Leopold Zingerle
Leopold Zingerle is the current RB Leipzig’s third-choice goalkeeper. He also spent one season with FC Bayern Munich. He played youth football for Bayern Munich his whole career, rising to the position of first-choice goalkeeper for the team’s reserve squad and regularly training with the senior squad.
He left Bayern Munich in the summer of 2015, though, after failing to make an appearance for the first team in a competitive game. Following stints with other clubs, the goalie joined RB Leipzig for the previous season.
4. Konrad Laimer
On June 30, 2017, Laimer signed a four-year contract with RB Leipzig. Laimer signed an extension to his deal that lasted until June 2023, even though his original agreement was set to expire in 2021. With Leipzig. he won the DFB-Pokal in 2022 and 2023. Despite winning the 2023 DFB-Pokal, Laimer made his decision to leave RB Leipzig public on June 3, 2023.

3. Marcel Sabitzer

Marcel Sabitzer spent seven seasons with RB Leipzig and two seasons with FC Bayern Munich. He played for Admira Wacker and Rapid Wien before making a big move to the Bundesliga club Leipzig. After agreeing to a four-year deal with RB Leipzig, Sabitzer spent the 2014–15 season on loan at Red Bull Salzburg.
For the 2015–16 campaign, Sabitzer rejoined RB Leipzig and established himself as a household figure there. following his stellar tenure at the club, during which he guided them to the semi-finals of the Champions League. After playing for Bayern Munich for two seasons, the midfielder was loaned to Manchester United. After the completion of the loan, the Austrian midfielder was sold to Borussia Dortmund.
2. Dayot Upamecano
Dayot Upamecano spent three seasons before he joined FC Bayern Munich and etched himself as an important figure. One of RB Leizpig’s underrated players, Dayot Upamecano joined the team in 2017 and became the league’s most talented centre-back. In 2021, Bayern Munich kept an eye on his performance and made a move for him 2021. Upamecano has been Bayern Munich’s first-choice defender since his move to the club and remains top of his performance in every game for them.
1. Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich spent two seasons with RB Leipzig and ten seasons with FC Bayern Munich and Couting. Kimmich was a member of VfB Stuttgart’s youth football team. In July 2013, he moved to RB Leipzig, where he established himself as one of the team’s most gifted midfielders and played for two seasons. He became the league’s and Europe’s most prominent midfielder as a result of his performance. When a possibility to sign him presented itself, Bayern Munich seized it without hesitation.
Kimmich signed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich on January 2, 2015, and has been a member of the team ever since. He is still the team’s starter.
