Los Blancos have not performed up to the mark this season.
Real Madrid were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos also lost the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey finals to Barcelona. All of that under the supervision of Carlo Ancelotti.
The LaLiga and European giants are looking to bring in a new manager for the upcoming season. They might even get some new additions to the team. Real Madrid are looking to add some players to the defence as they have faced some issues this season, particularly in that unit.
Who should Real Madrid sign in the upcoming transfer window?
5. Jonathan Tah
Jonathan Tah currently plays for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso. From what we have experienced this season, the opponents were easily able to find spaces in Real Madrid’s defence, which will have to change if Los Blancos are looking to make a comeback in the next season.
As a tall man, Jonathan Tah is going to play an important role if Real Madrid decides to sign him. With his good ability to win the aerial duels and confident ball-playing ability, he can prove to be very beneficial.
4. Martin Zubimendi
The Real Sociedad midfielder can play a crucial role in Real Madrid’s midfield. After losing the services of Toni Kroos, Los Blancos are looking to restore the balance in the midfield. As per some reports, Martin Zubimendi has an active $68 million release clause.
Zubimendi is good at reading the game and does not panic when he is getting pressed. With his ability to produce neat passes, he can be a big addition for Los Blancos.
3. Florian Wirtz
As Real Madrid might go on to sign Xabi Alonso as their new manager for the upcoming season, Florian Wirtz, who is also a big target for Manchester City and other European teams, might join LaLiga giants Real Madrid. Los Blancos have a good attack, but have not been up to the mark when it comes to the midfield.
Florian Wirtz can even play as a second striker and be a temporary winger. With his creative intelligence, the German midfielder can produce some great plays for his side and can help them excel.
2. Theo Hernandez
Real Madrid might re-sign Theo Hernandez, who is currently a part of Serie A giants AC Milan. Los Blancos are likely to go for the left-back as Ferland Mendy has not performed very well this season and has now been injured.
The Frenchman was a part of the UEFA Champions League 2017-18 winning Real Madrid squad. He is very good at assisting the team’s attacking front, which can be a benefit for Los Blancos.
1. Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold is most likely to join Real Madrid this summer. He currently plays for Liverpool, and his contract ends at the end of the season. The great right-back can strengthen Real Madrid’s defence.
With his great passing range, he can be very beneficial for the midfield areas too. Los Blancos don’t have a proper right-back in play as Dani Carvajal is still recovering.
