Many prominent names have represented both of these clubs in the modern era.

The Spanish giants Real Madrid and the Italian giants Juventus have mostly battled it out in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos have a slightly better record against the Bianconeri. They are set to face each other yet again, but this time in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

Both clubs have a rich history in Europe. Real Madrid and Juventus are considered the giants of their respective leagues because of their great domestic eras and multiple title wins. The LaLiga giants Real Madrid are also the record winners of the UEFA Champions League, winning the competition 15 times.

On the other hand, Juventus have two UCL title wins to their name. The Bianconeri have not been at their best in the last few seasons, but they are likely to make a comeback after their rebuilding phase.

Real Madrid have always stood out because they constantly make efforts to evolve the club by adding world-renowned players to their side. Due to this, Los Blancos have been consistence on the field and have won multiple silverware in recent times.

There have been some players who have played for both of these top clubs and have helped them win trophies on various occasions. Some of the top names probably include your favourite footballers. The hard work of those stars has also helped those clubs on and off the field.

5. Danilo

In March 2015, the Brazilian right-back signed for Real Madrid on a six-year deal. He went on to win a league title with them. He then signed for Manchester City in 2017.

Juventus grabbed a deal for Danilo in 2019, when they swapped João Cancelo with the EPL club. He also became the first non-Italian captain for the Bianconeri since Enrique Omar Sívori in 1965. This happened after the departure of Leonardo Bonucci.

In January 2025, he joined Flamengo from Juventus.

4. Sami Khedira

Sami Khedira moved to Real Madrid in 2010 from Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart. The German midfielder helped Los Blancos in achieving “La decima”, which is their 10th UEFA Champions League title in 2014. That was not the only thing he won there; the player helped add many other pieces of silverware.

Khedira later joined Juventus on a free transfer in a four-year deal. He became one of the main assets of the squad and went on to win five Serie A titles with them.

3. Alvaro Morata

The Spanish forward signed for Real Madrid in 2008. Alvaro Morata played first for their academy team and later in 2010 made his senior team debut. He won a UCL title, a LaLiga title and some other silverware.

Morata signed for Juventus in 2014, where he won a total of five trophies. In 2016, he made a move back to Real Madrid, where he again went on to win the Champions League and the Spanish league.

2. Zinedine Zidane

The French legend Zinedine Zidane was an important part of both Juventus and Real Madrid. Zizou joined the Bianconeri in 1996 and spent six years with the Italian giants. There, he won a couple of Italian league titles and several other trophies.

He made his move to Real Madrid towards the end of his career and played the most matches for them. Zidane went on to win one UCL trophy, one LaLiga trophy and some other silverware during his time at the club.

He later returned as a manager for Real Madrid. This time, he helped them in their remarkable UEFA Champions League threepeat between 2016-2018.

1. Cristiano Ronaldo
