Portugal announce squad for October international break; Cristiano Ronaldo included

Roberto Martínez’s men will face Poland and Scotland in the upcoming international break.
Portugal national football team led by Roberto Martínez have announced their squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games. The team will play two fixtures in mid-October.
Firstly they will take on Poland away from home at the National Stadium Warsaw. Following this encounter, Martinez and Co. will fly to Glasgow to face the Scotland national team at Hampden Park.
Portugal so far have made an amazing start in the Nations League. They are leading League A Group 1 with six points. They secured these points in the September break.
In the September break, they played against Croatia and Scotland. In both games, the side nailed a 2-1 win at home.
Expect FC Porto’s Diogo Costa to play the starring role in between the sticks. The likes of Manchester City’s Rúben Dias, Al-Hilal’s new boy João Cancelo and others will take care of the defensive duties come mid-October.
In the midfield, Bernardo Silva and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes will provide the much-needed experience. Talking about the experience, there’s a man named Cristiano Ronaldo on the team, who has well over 900 career goals.
Expect the captain, Ronaldo, to score a few this international break. The attack also has other talented players such as João Félix, Rafael Leão and Diogo Jota.
