Premier League 2024-25: List of all club captains

Many new faces have been named captains for their respective clubs.
The English Premier League has been the home to some of the best captains in history, including Roy Keane, Tony Adams, John Terry, Vincent Kompany, Patrick Vieira and Steven Gerrard. Although leadership can be developed and used over time, it is a skill that is frequently innate and never taught.
Choosing who wears the armband is one of the most significant decisions a manager must make, and several factors are taken into account. A diverse range of stars will represent their various club sides as spokesmen in the 2023–24 campaign.
It’s a significant responsibility that is best suited for a particular type of athlete. In the past, the winner was the person who shouted the loudest, but in today’s more complex game, choosing who gets an armband could mean a lot.
Many clubs have continued with the same skippers with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea having similar captains as last season. Manchester City had initially named Kevin de Bruyne as their captain after the departure of former German international, Ilkay Gundogan, to FC Barcelona, but he shall continue to sport the armband now that the midfielder is back at the club.
The newly promoted teams have also confirmed their captains and Jamie Vardy will be the skipper of Leicester City after leading them to the English top-flight league this season.
