Arsenal are six points clear of second place at the top of the Premier League table.

We reflect on an exciting Premier League 2025-26 matchweek 12 of this weekend, which saw Arsenal win big while Manchester United, Man City and Liverpool lost.

In Matchweek 12, Arsenal emerged victorious in the Premier League. They crushed Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 in the north London derby. The Gunners clearly took advantage of Manchester City’s loss at Newcastle United.

After defeating Burnley, Chelsea jumped ahead of Manchester City into second position, still leaving Mikel Arteta’s team six points clear at the top.

In other news, Aston Villa maintained their pre-international break momentum by climbing into the top four, while Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace followed closely behind following their respective wins on Saturday.

Manchester United had a chance to climb to the top four, but a narrow 1-0 defeat against Everton at home kept them out.
