Premier League award winners for August 2025: Grealish, Arne Slot & more

Grealish wins his first-ever PL Player of the Month award.

Jack Grealish, English winger for on loan at Everton from Man City, has won his first Premier League Player of the Month award for his outstanding start to the new season.

There could scarcely have been a better beginning to Grealish’s attempt to rekindle a career that had stalled at Manchester City. The 30-year-old led the Premier League in assists in August and displayed glimpses of the skill.

Grealish provided a total of four assists in his first two Premier League appearances for Everton. He set up two goals in a 2-0 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion and repeated the effort a week later to lead Everton to a 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arne Slot wins Manager of the Month for August

Liverpool manager Arne Slot defeated Everton boss David Moyes in a battle for the honour.

Slot, the Manager of the Season from the previous season, has started the campaign on a positive note. With wins over Bournemouth, Newcastle United, and Arsenal, Liverpool have taken an early lead in the league and are the only team in England’s top flight that has not lost.

Slot initially received the monthly prize in November 2024, and this is the second time that he has done so.

Dominik Szoboszlai’s incredible free kick during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal was chosen as the Guinness Goal of the Month for August 2025. Therefore, Szoboszlai became the first player from Hungary to receive a Premier League monthly award.
