PSG hold initial talks with Manchester United over Jadon Sancho signing

United are willing to sell England international for the right price.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have begun talks with Manchester United over the signing of Jadon Sancho. The club expressed their interest in signing the forward a few weeks ago and now seem to be looking to push for his acquisition.
The French giants met United representatives and held initial talks to bring the England international to Paris. They are discussing the conditions of a potential transfer.
It is also believed that Jadon Sancho will be open to a move to PSG. Hence, personal terms won’t be a problem for the club. Sancho’s performance in the UEFA Champions League last season for Borussia Dortmund impressed the Ligue 1 club. They are now looking to bring the forward to replace the departed Kylian Mbappe.
After the short loan stint in Germany, Sancho had returned to United from Dortmund. He was also part of the club’s pre-season tour to the USA, despite his falling out with Erik ten Hag last season, which resulted in a loan move to Dortmund in January.
In Germany, the former Manchester City academy player hit the ground running. It was expected that he would continue at the Bundesliga club. But their financial problems saw them back out of his signing.
If PSG meet United’s price tag for the 24-year-old, which is said to be around €60m, then Sancho could join the French side this summer. The Red Devils are also looking to sign PSG’s midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
United have been in talks with PSG to sign the Uruguayan. The French club are demanding a big fee, which the Premier League giants are reluctant to pay. However, the player already has agreed personal terms with the English side.
If Sancho joins PSG, then United could land Ugarte. Anyhow, United have a backup plan in place as well. They are also focusing on the signing of Sander Berge, given the Ligue 1 club are demanding a huge sum for Ugarte.
A swap deal could also come into play if both clubs accept the transfer, which could see Sanho join PSG and Ugarte come to United.
