The French club have set their sights on winning their first-ever Club World Cup.

The most significant football match of the year is expected to be the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final between Chelsea FC and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). On Sunday, July 13, 2025, it will be held at the renowned MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Chelsea, the UEFA Conference League winners, and PSG, the UEFA Champions League winners, square off in this all-European showdown this year. The battle for club dominance worldwide is sure to be thrilling.

PSG have been the dominant force in the tournament, wreaking havoc during the elimination stages. They demonstrated their dominance by smashing Real Madrid 4-0 in the semi-finals after having already defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in the quarter-finals.

The French powerhouses have kept clean sheets in five of their six games and have only given up once, against Botafogo in the group stage.

With Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia leading a deadly attack and world-class goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal, they have scored 16 goals, averaging more than two goals per game.

Despite Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez being suspended, Luis Enrique’s team is almost fully recovered. After recovering from an injury, Dembele spearheads the assault with goals against Real Madrid and Bayern, with Doue and Kvaratskhelia at his sides.

João Neves, Vitinha, and Fabian Ruiz provide control in the middle, and Achraf Hakimi’s wingback runs provide breadth. A 4-3-3 formation will probably take advantage of PSG’s strong pressing game to attack Chelsea’s flanks first.

Chelsea‘s threats might be neutralised by Donnarumma’s goalkeeping skills and Marquinhos’ defensive expertise.
