The Parisians are in contention to win their first-ever Super Cup trophy.

Ahead of the start of their regular seasons, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Tottenham Hotspur are all set to battle it out in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup fixture. It will be a crucial game for both of these clubs as the winning side will step into the new season with confidence and a trophy.

The Luis Enrique-led PSG had a great 2024-25 season. The French giants completed the treble after winning the Ligue 1, Coupe de France and UEFA Champions League titles. They overall delivered great performances and defeated almost every top team out there.

Paris Saint-Germain have a set of quality players who have come up with consistent performances throughout the season, which has helped the club get out of every situation.

From Ousmane Dembele to Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma, a total of nine players from the first team of PSG have been nominated for the top awards. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top to win which award.

After winning the treble, PSG looked very good and sharp during their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 run, but they were dominated in the final of the mega competition, in what was a shocking defeat for them. They defended poorly and were unable to score any goals.

The Ligue 1 giants lost to Chelsea in the final by a scoreline of 0-3. They are now all set to face the English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur next. Even though PSG had a phenomenal run during 2024-25, the UEFA Super Cup clash is going to be a tough one for them.

How will PSG lineup against Spurs in the UEFA Super Cup final

PSG predicted lineup vs Tottenham (4-3-3): Chevalier (GK); Hakimi, Marquinhos, Beraldo, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

All of the squad members for Paris Saint-Germain are ready to be in action, apart from Senny Mayulu. He might miss out on action as he received a knock during training and is under treatment.

Ousmane Dembele, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue have been very promising in the final third for PSG. Bradley Barcola might also play an important role for the Parisians after coming in from the bench.

Their midfield has been absolutely brilliant. The kind of plays that they have come up with in recent times have been excellent. Joao Neves, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz all can control the midfield well and are very capable of scoring goals as well.

PSG’s defence need to step up a little bit as they really struggled in the Club World Cup final against Chelsea. Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi will be the main full-backs. Both of them have performed brilliantly. In the middle, Marquinhos, alongside Lucas Beraldo will lead the defensive lines.

How many trophies did PSG win during 2024-25 season?

They won the treble after clinching Ligue 1, Coupe de France and UCL trophies.

Who will face PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final?

The UEFA Europa League winners, Tottenham Hotspur, will face PSG.
