Los Blancos are looking to sign defender and left-back

Real Madrid aren’t likely to splurge money on summer singing after deciding their transfer budget which is set to be around $97.5 million (€90 million). The Los Blancos finally managed to bring their long-term target Kylian Mbappe for free from Paris Saint-Germain.

The France sensation is currently on national team duty at Euro 2024 after driving them to the semi-final where they will play Spain. Once Euros is over, Mbappe then will have his presentation in Bernabeu in front of 80,000 fans which is set to take place on July 16.

Mbappe is not expected to fly with Real Madrid for the pre-season tour to the United States as he will receive rest for the upcoming season. Madrid will also welcome another young star Endrick, after the club struck a deal with a Brazilian Palmeiras, which could reach north of $65 million (€60 million).

Carlo Ancelotti’s side need to bolster their defence and full-backs and are in target for both positions. It has been widely known from the beginning of 2024 that Madrid also hope to have Leny Yoro, a central defender for Lille, and Alphonso Davies, a left-back for Bayern.

It’s funny since both players, whose contracts end on June 30, 2025, are in the same scenario with their current employers despite having declined renewal offers.

This implies that these teams have one more chance to make a profit on their desired players during the current summer transfer window, which may lead them to accept a lower offer from Madrid if and when they get to the negotiating table.

In light of this, according to SPORT, Madrid have allocated “€70-80 million” ($75-85 million) in addition to an additional $11-21 million (€10–20 million) for incentives.

If offers below this cap are turned down by Lille and Bayern Munich, Madrid will hold out on signing Yoro and Davies for free in 2025, at which point the club also hope to capture Germany’s wonderboy, Florian Wirtz.
