After it was revealed that Real Madrid had scanned Kylian Mbappe’s wrong knee in an unsuccessful attempt to cure his injury, the team was left red-faced. The 27-year-old Mbappe just returned from a situation that could have been resolved much sooner.
Early in December, as Xabi Alonso’s tenure as manager was coming to an end, the France captain began to have pain in his left knee. Instead, Real had an MRI of his right knee, and the results showed no issues.
Kylian Mbappe, still in discomfort, appeared off the bench during Los Blancos’ 2-1 Champions League league phase win over Manchester City. Before the winter break, the forward participated in Real Madrid’s next three games.

According to the Spanish publication El Mundo, Niko Mihic took over as head of the first team’s medical services following the mistake.
The club experienced internal repercussions as a result of the incident, including the reported termination of multiple medical staff members. Kylian Mbappé will have major trust issues with Madrid‘s medical team after they failed to cure his knee injury on time.
The French striker and his entourage were genuinely startled by the way his injury was handled. This raised severe concerns about the club’s medical procedures and player care.
