Real Madrid injury news ahead of Real Sociedad clash in LaLiga 2024-25 Gameweek 5
Many Los Blancos players are set to miss this game.
Real Madrid will hope to finally turn their season around after the international break. Their start to the new campaign saw them win only two games in four matches. Their arch-rivals Barcelona have won all the games so far and are four points ahead at the top of the table.
Real Madrid will now travel to Reale Arena to face Real Sociedad in their fifth LaLiga game. They will hope to reduce the gap up top.
However, going into this match, they are set to miss many important players. The injuries have continued to pile up for this season. Carlo Ancelotti is set to be without many first-team players when they face Sociedad on Sunday night.
Real Madrid injury news ahead of Real Sociedad clash.
Real Madrid will miss their star player Jude Bellingham who suffered a muscle injury. His inclusion in the squad to face Sociedad remains to be seen. There is yet to be any update on the player’s recovery.
Alongside Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga suffered a knee injury in August. It seems like he will be out for a long time. Dani Ceballos was used as a replacement after both of these midfielders were sidelined. Things got worse as the Spanish midfielder also went down with an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, Ferland Mendy injured his right tibia. He was forced to be withdrawn from the France squad for the September international break. A similar thing happened with Aurélien Tchouaméni, who picked up a foot injury. Now both player’s return timelines are yet to be known. But recent reports reveal both should recover on time for the clash.
However, one positive news for Real Madrid is that Éder Militão has returned to training. He was also withdrawn from the Brazil squad after sustaining a muscle injury, but he has recovered on time. Militao will be available for the game.
Youngster Arda Guler picked a knock during the Turkey game. But it was not serious as he featured in their next game against Iceland. Meanwhile, David Alaba faces a lengthy time on the sidelines after suffering an ACL injury.
