The Frenchman has suffered a similar injury while playing for France.

According to a source, Real Madrid are certain that Franco Mastantuono and Kylian Mbappé have not suffered any significant injuries while playing for their respective country.

Mbappé had a small ankle injury from his previous Madrid match before he left for France’s matches. Then he suffered another injury in the same spot during a 3-0 victory over Azerbaijan. Later, he was sent back to Madrid.

Only a few hours after Argentina announced that youngster midfielder Mastantuono would be returning to Madrid due to a muscular overload.

Fans have been worried about the fitness of the pair, with just two weeks until Madrid’s El Clásico match against FC Barcelona. But according to The Athletic, there isn’t any fear within the team.

According to reports, Kylian Mbappé has already had plenty of tests, which have established that his ailment is not significant. In addition, there is already trust that Mastantuono won’t have to miss much time with an injury following his scans.

Neither player has a particular timeline provided, and it is still unclear whether they will be involved in Real Madrid’s October 19 trip to Getafe.

But the UEFA Champions League match against Juventus three days later might be a reasonable return goal. Moreover, both players should have enough time to heal before FC Barcelona‘s October 26 visit to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Mbappé and Mastantuono will focus on their recuperation in the meantime alongside centre defender Dean Huijsen, who departed the Spain squad earlier this week due to muscle strain.

The defender is expected to need up to two weeks to recuperate, which means he will probably miss the matches against Juventus and Getafe. However, if nothing goes wrong, he should be ready to return to the starting lineup against Barcelona.

How long will Mbappe be out?

It hasn’t been confirmed if the forward is set to miss any games after the international break.
