Los Blancos are set to have a presidential election this weekend.

If Florentino Pérez is re-elected as the club’s president, Real Madrid will make a €150 million (£130 million) bid for Michael Olise of Bayern Munich.

Pérez is predicted to defeat his opponent, Enrique Riquelme, in this weekend’s election. Riquelme’s pledge to sign Erling Haaland has spurred Manchester City to threaten legal action.

Both candidates have made promises of significant action. In a speech to the Spanish media on Thursday, Pérez disclosed ambitions to win over Madrid supporters by making a significant bid for a gálactico-caliber player the following week. Although Pérez denied referring to Olise, it is known that Real Madrid plan to target the Bayern winger this summer.

If Pérez is re-elected as the president, he is anticipated to concentrate on a transfer for Michael Olise. This is despite reports that Madrid are also interested in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder João Neves.

Since relocating to Germany in 2024, the former Crystal Palace winger—who is expected to play a significant role for France at the World Cup—has been outstanding for Bayern.

He has established himself as one of the world’s top attackers and helped Vincent Kompany’s team win two Bundesliga titles.

Michael Olise’s contract expires in 2029. Bayern will work hard to keep him away from Madrid. However, Real Madrid are going to test the German team’s resolve by offering a mouthwatering bid to entice Olise to come to the Bernabeu.

After two years without a major trophy, Madrid are in for a momentous summer. They have already worked out agreements to recruit Netherlands defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan and Ibrahima Konaté on a free transfer from Liverpool.
