Saudi Arabia vs Uruguay: All-time Head-to-head record ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026

Saudi Arabia and Uruguay have won one match each against each other.
Saudi Arabia and Uruguay are set to meet in a Group H fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at GEODIS Park in Nashville on June 15.
With Spain and Cape Verde also competing in the group, both nations will be eager to begin their campaign on a positive note and gain an early advantage in the race for a place in the knockout rounds. A victory could prove crucial in a tightly contested group, while a defeat would increase the pressure ahead of the remaining fixtures.
Uruguay enter the tournament with one of the richest histories in international football. La Celeste were the inaugural FIFA World Cup winners in 1930 and lifted the trophy again in 1950. More recently, they reached the semi-finals in 2010 and the quarter-finals in 2018, establishing themselves as regular contenders on the world stage.
Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, are aiming to advance beyond the group stage for the first time since their memorable Round of 16 appearance in 1994. The Green Falcons have shown they are capable of challenging elite opponents, most notably with their famous victory over Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
While Uruguay possess the stronger pedigree, previous encounters between the two sides suggest the matchup is more balanced than many would expect. In fact, neither nation holds a head-to-head advantage heading into their latest meeting, with both teams having recorded one win apiece alongside a draw.
