SPL is looking to stage United’s pre-season matches in Saudi Arabia.

Premier League giants Manchester United are being offered £18 million by the Saudi Pro League to play their 2026 preseason in Saudi Arabia between July and August.

Before the start of the new season, every English club plan a pre-season tour in different countries and plays matches to prepare for the competitive season ahead.

This time, before the start of the new season (2026-27), Manchester United could play their pre-season in Saudi Arabia, where the Saudi Pro League has attracted many top players from Europe.

The Middle Eastern league are ready to splash £18 million on the Red Devils to bring them to Saudi Arabia and have them play their 2026-27 pre-season there.

Money hasn’t been a key issue for the SPL. We have witnessed in the past their financial power that helped bring big names to the league. Bringing top clubs to play their pre-season friendlies in their backyard will further increase their football image.

United may profit from playing in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the fact that it would offer mild training conditions. United usually takes flights overseas many times a season; in the most recent campaign, they did it eight times.

Although negotiations are still in their early phases, United will have a fantastic opportunity to play their 2026–2027 preseason friendlies in Saudi Arabia if they wish to make as much money as possible.

As the coaching staff will ultimately make the decision and prepare the team’s preseason itinerary, Manchester United’s management has not yet provided an official statement.

According to earlier media reports, several teams would have to substantially reduce their pre-season preparations due to the absence of important players for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

How much Saudi Pro League are offering to United?

£18 million.

Will United play their entire pre-season in Saudi?

Yes, if the club accept the offer.
