The Tartan Army are aiming for a historic knockout qualification in tonight’s match.

Scotland take on Brazil in their final Group C clash in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on June 24. The Tartan Army are third in the group with three points, but can seal their first-ever place in the Round of 32 with a win tonight.

The Scots marked their return to the quadrennial tournament after 28 years with a historic 1-0 win over Haiti. John McGinn’s strike sealed three points for Steve Clarke’s men. However, they failed to hold on to that momentum, falling to a 1-0 loss to Morocco in their next game courtesy of an early goal from Ismael Saibari.

Still, the Tartan Army hold their fate in their own hands, needing to beat Brazil in tonight’s game to progress to the next stage. However, they will be the underdogs in tonight’s fixture, having never beaten the Selecao in their history.

Andy Robertson starts at left-back, but he will need to be careful as he is on a yellow card. Everton’s Nathan Patterson starts on the right.

Bologna’s midfield general Lewis Ferguson is the defensive screen, joined by Norwich City’s Kenny McLean. Talismanic captain Scott McTominay starts in a more advanced role. Ben Gannon-Doak starts on the right flank, with John McGinn starting on the left. Lawrence Shankland is chosen as the centre-forward over Che ADams.
