Should Endrick be starting for Real Madrid?
Endrick has two goals for Los Blancos this season.
Brazilian sensation Endrick has been seen as a generational talent. The striker used to rip up Brazilian leagues with his goalscoring exploits. With growing status the forward attracted interest from many European clubs.
Real Madrid started following the player’s performance. When the time was right they made a move for him and scooped him in with a big sum.
The LaLiga club signed Endrick in 2022 but the player continued to play for Brazilian club Palmeiras. He finally joined the club this season and already has two goals in all competitions.
But Endrick is currently not the regular starter at the club. There are other players who are ahead in pecking order. Endrick’s current goalscoring prowess can allow him to become a starter at the club.
Should Carlo Ancelotti be starting Endrick?
Endrick’s current performance for Real Madrid certainly guarantees him some minutes for the club which will continue his smooth progress into a developed striker. He is just 18 and has plenty of years ahead of him to become one of the best players in Europe.
But given the club lacks a natural No.9 should Real start playing Endrick more in matches? It depends on the quality of the squad. Ancelotti already has some best finishers in the team with Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, Vinicius and Jude Bellingham.
They all are regular starters and possess poacher instincts in front of the goal, thus Ancelotti doesn’t have to worry about Endrick’s minutes on the pitch. He will certainly make rotations to allow the youngster game time for his development at the club.
His first UEFA Champions League goal in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against VfB Stuttgart was an illustration of his eye for goal and how he can further make Madrid into a more formidable side in Europe.
It will be better for the youngster to use the minutes wisely which he gets as a rotation player if he intends to become a regular starter in a stacked attacking line of Real Madrid. Ancelotti knows how to manage his game time which will help nurture him at the club.
